Preparing for School in 2021
As we come to the end of an unprecedented period, it can be daunting to look ahead to 2021. For students, commencing back-to-school preparation early can ensure a strong start to the new year. New enrolments are now open for 2021.
Finish the 2020 school year in a purposeful way. Reflect on your goals and achievements, before clearing away unnecessary materials.
Throughout the holidays, maintain a balance between relaxation and learning. Purchase any 2021 English texts early to read over the Summer break. For language learners, regularly revisiting this year’s vocabulary helps this content remain fresh.
Towards the end of the holidays, set goals for the new school year. Record these in a visible place, such as on the wall above your desk. Complete any preparation tasks in the final weeks before Term 1.
Finally, mark the transition to the 2021 school year with renewed school supplies. Replacing older items, or finding a new favourite pen, can boost motivation for the year ahead.
